The Director of Modular Systems & Skid Fabrication leads the design, fabrication, integration, and delivery of modular water treatment systems and skid-mounted mechanical assemblies. This role ensures that prefabricated systems—ranging from chemical dosing units to pump skids and filtration modules—are engineered and manufactured to meet performance, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The position bridges engineering design with shop floor execution and plays a critical role in optimizing production workflows for scalable deployment.
Modular System Fabrication Leadership
Direct end-to-end fabrication of modular and skid-mounted systems including structural frames, piping, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment.
Oversee integration of mechanical, electrical, and control components into self-contained units for water treatment applications.
Ensure modular builds comply with project specifications, process design requirements, and site conditions.
Design Collaboration & Customization
Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize modular platforms while allowing for project-specific customization.
Provide input during system layout, piping design (P&IDs), and fabrication drawing development.
Support design reviews, constructability assessments, and value engineering efforts.
Fabrication Planning & Execution
Manage fabrication schedules, material procurement, and resource planning to meet project timelines and budgets.
Oversee welding, mechanical assembly, pressure testing, and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing).
Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and improve build quality and repeatability.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Enforce adherence to applicable codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, API, AWS, and local health/safety regulations.
Lead QA/QC processes including inspection, NDT, and documentation of fabrication and test results.
Promote and maintain a safety-focused culture in fabrication areas.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of fabricators, welders, assemblers, and supervisors.
Develop internal training programs to improve modular fabrication expertise and technical consistency.
Collaborate with project managers and client stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and alignment.
