The Director of Mechanical Fabrication & Engineering leads the planning, design, and execution of mechanical fabrication projects and engineering initiatives within water treatment facilities. This role ensures the efficient fabrication of mechanical components and systems, adherence to engineering standards, and coordination with operations and maintenance teams to support reliable plant performance.
Fabrication & Engineering Leadership
Oversee all mechanical fabrication activities including welding, machining, assembly, and quality control related to water treatment equipment and infrastructure.
Lead engineering design efforts to develop and improve mechanical systems, components, and fabrication processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards (ASME, AWS), and safety regulations.
Project Management & Execution
Manage mechanical fabrication projects from design through installation and commissioning.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and operations to meet project goals.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality metrics, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Technical & Quality Oversight
Review engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications for accuracy and compliance.
Implement quality assurance programs to maintain high fabrication standards and minimize defects.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for fabrication-related issues.
Team Development & Collaboration
Build and mentor a skilled team of engineers, fabricators, and technicians.
Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize mechanical system reliability and performance.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Experience:
10+ years in mechanical fabrication and engineering, preferably in water treatment or industrial sectors
Proven leadership experience managing fabrication projects and engineering teams
Skills:
Strong knowledge of fabrication methods, welding processes, and mechanical design
Proficiency with engineering software and fabrication planning tools
