The Director – Manufacturing Intelligence and Systems is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and deployment of advanced manufacturing intelligence solutions. This role focuses on leveraging data analytics, industrial IoT, AI/ML, and automation systems to drive operational excellence, enhance decision-making, and enable smart manufacturing capabilities.
Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for manufacturing intelligence, data analytics, and digital systems.
Lead cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data platforms, manufacturing data lakes, and analytics tools.
Drive integration of data from MES, SCADA, ERP, IoT devices, and other systems for holistic operational insights.
Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor production efficiency, quality, and asset performance.
Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations to deploy AI/ML models for predictive maintenance, quality control, and process optimization.
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
Manage vendor relationships for analytics platforms, industrial IoT, and automation software.
Champion continuous improvement and innovation through advanced analytics and smart manufacturing technologies.
Build and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts.
Manufacturing Data Integration:
Unify disparate data sources (MES, ERP, SCADA, IoT) into centralized platforms for seamless access and analysis.
Advanced Analytics & AI/ML:
Deploy machine learning models and analytics to predict equipment failures, optimize production processes, and improve product quality.
Real-Time Operational Intelligence:
Develop dashboards and alert systems that provide real-time visibility into production metrics, bottlenecks, and performance.
Smart Manufacturing Enablement:
Support Industry 4.0 initiatives by integrating digital twins, automation, and connected devices for enhanced manufacturing agility.
Data Governance & Security:
Implement policies and technologies that ensure data accuracy, privacy, and cybersecurity compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with IT, production, quality, and engineering teams to align intelligence solutions with business needs.
Talent Development & Leadership:
Grow capabilities within the team by fostering innovation, continuous learning, and technical expertise.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing intelligence, data analytics, or digital transformation leadership.
Strong expertise in MES, SCADA, IIoT, data lakes, AI/ML applications, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Experience integrating manufacturing and enterprise systems.
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in manufacturing sectors such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, electronics, or FMCG is a plus.
