We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Director – Instrumentation and Control to lead and manage all aspects of I&C engineering, operations, and project execution across our industrial facilities. This leadership role is responsible for defining instrumentation and control strategies, maintaining technical standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving innovation through automation and smart technologies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in control system integration and field instrumentation across complex, high-reliability environments.
Lead the I&C function across projects and operating assets, ensuring safety, reliability, and engineering excellence.
Oversee design, specification, and implementation of field instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, and associated systems.
Manage the integration of instrumentation with distributed control systems (DCS), PLCs, SCADA, and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
Establish and enforce company-wide standards for instrumentation design, documentation, and system configuration.
Provide strategic oversight on I&C scopes for capital projects (FEED, EPC, commissioning), ensuring delivery within budget and schedule.
Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (ISA, IEC, API, NEC) and safety regulations (including IEC 61511).
Collaborate with process, electrical, automation, and operations teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
Support OT cybersecurity policies and secure implementation of I&C systems (aligned with ISA/IEC 62443).
Lead efforts to digitize field instrumentation through smart sensors, IIoT integration, and remote diagnostics.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, training programs, and career development initiatives for I&C teams.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Systems Engineering
Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in I&C engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level position
Deep knowledge of instrumentation and control platforms (e.g., Emerson, Yokogawa, Honeywell, Siemens, ABB)
Functional Safety certification (e.g., TÜV, CFSE) and understanding of cybersecurity standards preferred
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multi-million-dollar projects
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
