The Director – Custom Process Equipment Fabrication is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, manufacturing, and quality assurance of custom-built process equipment used in industries such as pharmaceutical, food and beverage, biotech, chemical processing, and industrial manufacturing. This individual ensures projects meet client specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality benchmarks—while driving efficiency, innovation, and strategic growth within fabrication operations.
This role requires strong expertise in mechanical design, welding standards, sanitary and ASME codes, and fabrication workflows, combined with proven leadership in team management, project delivery, and cross-functional coordination.

Direct end-to-end fabrication of custom vessels, skids, tanks, piping modules, and processing systems.
Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, specification-compliant equipment.
Review and approve detailed engineering drawings, weld maps, P&IDs, and fabrication plans.
Provide input on material selection (e.g., stainless steel grades, alloys) and surface finishes.
Ensure adherence to ASME, BPE, PED, and industry-specific standards.
Streamline fabrication workflows for efficiency, quality, and scalability.
Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Coordinate across departments (engineering, QA, logistics) to eliminate bottlenecks.
Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, fabricators, QA inspectors, and project managers.
Drive a culture of accountability, precision, and excellence.
Develop succession plans, training programs, and performance metrics.
Act as a technical and commercial point of contact for key customers.
Support proposals, bid packages, and design reviews with clients.
Ensure proactive communication and resolution of project issues.
Enforce compliance with ASME, BPE, ISO, OSHA, and customer-specific standards.
Oversee QA/QC inspections, hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, weld documentation, and traceability.
Maintain a clean safety record and drive adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in custom process equipment fabrication, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of welding, stainless steel fabrication, ASME codes, sanitary equipment standards, and pressure vessel manufacturing.
Experience in sanitary fabrication (e.g., BPE, hygienic piping, CIP/SIP systems).
Familiarity with ERP and fabrication tracking systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Procore).
Strong financial and project management acumen.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
