Key Focus Areas:

  • Test Automation Strategy – Define and implement robust, scalable automation frameworks for system-level testing, simulation, and diagnostics.

  • Integrated Test Systems Development – Lead design and commissioning of HIL, SIL, and end-to-end test environments for avionics, propulsion control, flight control, and instrumentation systems.

  • Automation for Manufacturing & MRO – Oversee development of automated systems for assembly line testing, ground support equipment, and maintenance diagnostics.

  • Data Acquisition & Analytics – Direct the development and integration of advanced data acquisition systems, sensor networks, and real-time performance monitoring tools.

  • Regulatory & Safety Compliance – Ensure all test systems and automation processes comply with FAA, EASA, MIL-STD, and NASA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the development and delivery of automated test equipment (ATE) and software validation platforms.

  • Oversee verification and validation campaigns for critical subsystems including avionics, flight control, propulsion, and electrical systems.

  • Drive digitalization of testing workflows using simulation, digital twin models, and AI/ML-based fault detection.

  • Collaborate with design, systems, and certification teams to define test plans and ensure traceability of requirements.

  • Ensure test labs are equipped with state-of-the-art systems and meet calibration, traceability, and environmental compliance.

  • Manage budgets, vendor relations, and technical partnerships for test infrastructure development.

  • Represent the organization in regulatory audits, technical reviews, and customer validation events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Control Systems, or related field.

  • 12+ years of experience in aerospace testing, automation systems, or embedded systems validation.

  • Proven experience with DO-178C, DO-160, DO-254, MIL-STD-810, or equivalent aerospace test and qualification standards.

  • Hands-on expertise with HIL platforms (e.g., NI VeriStand, dSPACE, Speedgoat), data acquisition systems, and scripting (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership in automation system design and test engineering execution.

  • Deep understanding of aerospace system interfaces and integration challenges.

  • Excellent project management, cross-functional coordination, and vendor management skills.

  • Effective communicator and problem-solver in high-stakes development environments.

  • High commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
