We are seeking an accomplished and technically proficient Director – Instrumentation and Control to lead and oversee the engineering, design, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems across oil & gas assets. The role involves strategic planning, project leadership, and operational governance to ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance in instrumentation and automation systems across upstream, midstream, and downstream projects.
Provide strategic direction for all instrumentation and control (I&C) engineering activities across projects and operations.
Lead the design, specification, and review of field instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, and control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD).
Ensure I&C systems comply with applicable codes and standards (API, IEC, ISA) and align with company policies.
Manage project delivery for I&C scopes from FEED through EPC and commissioning, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
Supervise multi-disciplinary teams and third-party contractors involved in I&C works.
Implement best practices for system safety, loop integrity, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
Oversee SIL assessments, HAZOP participation, and functional safety compliance (IEC 61511).
Collaborate closely with operations, process, and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of I&C systems.
Drive innovation in smart instrumentation, IIoT, predictive diagnostics, and digital twin technologies.
Mentor engineers and technicians, ensuring strong technical capability and career growth within the I&C function.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
Minimum 15+ years of experience in instrumentation and control within the oil & gas industry
Proven experience leading I&C teams and managing major projects across the full lifecycle
In-depth knowledge of control systems platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, ABB, Emerson)
Certifications in functional safety (TÜV, ISA) and/or project management preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
