Job Title: Culinary Expert

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Culinary Expert (Expert Level) to lead the culinary direction and execution of exceptional dining experiences. This role is ideal for a seasoned culinary professional with a strong portfolio, deep knowledge of global cuisines, advanced cooking techniques, and a passion for creativity and consistency. You will play a key role in menu development, kitchen operations, food quality control, and mentoring junior chefs to uphold excellence in every dish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Innovation & Development:
    Design and develop high-quality, seasonal, and trend-driven menus across various service types (fine dining, buffet, à la carte, events).
    Create signature dishes and elevate culinary offerings that align with the brand and customer expectations.

  • Kitchen Operations Oversight:
    Oversee day-to-day kitchen functions, ensuring smooth operations, cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
    Implement advanced culinary techniques and maintain high standards of food presentation and taste.

  • Quality Control & Consistency:
    Maintain consistency in flavor, appearance, and portioning across all dishes.
    Monitor sourcing, preparation, storage, and plating processes to meet hygiene and safety standards.

  • Mentorship & Training:
    Mentor and guide junior chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff through demonstrations and skill-building sessions.
    Foster a positive, learning-focused kitchen culture with high professional standards.

  • Collaboration & Culinary Strategy:
    Work with food & beverage, hospitality, and event teams to align culinary experiences with guest needs and brand positioning.
    Participate in planning for themed events, private dining, and VIP experiences.

  • Cost Management & Sourcing:
    Recommend premium and cost-effective ingredients, working with suppliers to ensure quality and sustainability.
    Assist in inventory control, waste reduction, and cost monitoring.

Required Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution

  • 8–10+ years of professional culinary experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior or specialized culinary role

  • Proven experience in luxury hotels, resorts, high-end restaurants, or cruise ships

  • In-depth knowledge of international cuisines, advanced cooking methods, and food safety regulations

  • Experience with menu design, kitchen leadership, and staff training
