Job Title: Cryogenic Turbine Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Cryogenic Turbine Engineer to lead our engineering initiatives in the design, optimization, and integration of turbine systems for cryogenic applications. In this strategic role, you will drive advanced research, oversee complex projects, and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring that our turbine solutions perform reliably and efficiently under extreme low-temperature conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Design & Optimization:
- Lead the development and optimization of turbine systems specifically designed for cryogenic applications using advanced CAD and simulation tools.
- Perform comprehensive thermal, structural, and performance analyses to maximize efficiency and reliability in low-temperature environments.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and materials to improve turbine performance and operational stability.
Project Leadership & Management:
- Manage large-scale cryogenic turbine projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including mechanical, thermal, and materials engineers—to streamline project execution and system integration.
- Oversee test planning, execution, and analysis to validate performance under cryogenic conditions, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Research & Innovation:
- Spearhead research initiatives to address technical challenges unique to cryogenic turbine operation, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in cryogenic engineering and turbine technology.
- Contribute to the development of patents, technical publications, and industry standards.
Mentorship & Team Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Lead design reviews, technical workshops, and cross-functional meetings to share expertise and drive collaborative problem-solving.
- Establish best practices and standard operating procedures for cryogenic turbine engineering projects.
Documentation & Stakeholder Communication:
- Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and performance analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present project updates, research findings, and strategic recommendations to senior management and clients.
- Maintain rigorous documentation of design iterations, testing protocols, and project milestones to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Cryogenics, or a related field.
- Advanced coursework or professional training in turbine systems, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, or cryogenic applications is highly desirable.
Experience:
- 7-10+ years of professional experience in turbine design, analysis, and integration, with a focus on cryogenic applications.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record in driving innovation and implementing performance enhancements in extreme operating conditions.
Skills:
- Expert proficiency with advanced CAD and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks, MATLAB).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and inspire teams.
- In-depth understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols relevant to cryogenic systems.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Relevant industry certifications or training in cryogenic systems, turbine technology, or energy management are advantageous.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
