The Cooling Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC cooling systems and chillers within a power plant. This role ensures reliable cooling performance critical to plant operations, protecting equipment and maintaining safe working environments. The manager leads technical teams, manages maintenance strategies, and drives efficiency improvements to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
Manage day-to-day operation and preventive maintenance of HVAC cooling systems, chillers, cooling towers, and associated equipment.
Monitor system performance, analyze data, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal cooling capacity and reliability.
Plan and coordinate major maintenance, repairs, and equipment overhauls.
Lead and supervise technicians and engineers responsible for cooling system maintenance and operation.
Provide technical guidance, training, and development to team members.
Allocate resources effectively to meet operational and maintenance goals.
Identify opportunities to improve cooling system efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
Implement best practices and new technologies to optimize system performance.
Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cooling system operation.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations related to cooling systems and refrigerants.
Conduct safety audits and risk assessments, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
Maintain documentation to support regulatory compliance and internal audits.
Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for cooling system equipment and services.
Develop and control budgets for maintenance and capital projects related to cooling systems.

Education:

Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC cooling technologies, chillers, cooling towers, and refrigerants
Ability to analyze system data and implement optimization measures
