The Control Valve Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising all activities related to the inspection, maintenance, repair, testing, and calibration of control and isolation valves, including those used in critical dosing systems. The role ensures technical compliance, safety, and timely execution of all field and workshop valve activities, including coordination during planned shutdowns and emergency interventions.
Supervise the maintenance and overhaul of control valves, isolation valves, and actuators (electric, pneumatic, hydraulic) across dosing and process applications.
Allocate daily tasks to valve technicians and ensure proper execution of inspection, servicing, and testing procedures.
Review and validate technical documentation including datasheets, OEM manuals, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and work packs.
Plan and prioritize valve maintenance schedules in coordination with maintenance, instrumentation, and operations teams.
Oversee diagnostics, calibration, and final testing (stroke test, leak test, positioner configuration, etc.).
Ensure adherence to HSE standards including proper use of PPE, LOTO procedures, confined space entry, and lifting operations.
Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and subcontractors for specialized valve servicing and warranty support.
Approve work orders, monitor progress, and ensure timely updates to CMMS or SAP systems with job completion details.
Conduct quality checks, lead tool-box talks, and participate in root cause analysis for valve-related failures.
Train and mentor junior and mid-level valve technicians and enforce standard operating procedures.
Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering or Trade Certification in Valve Technology
10+ years of experience in industrial valve maintenance with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of valve types (globe, ball, butterfly, diaphragm, plug), actuator systems, and diagnostic tools
Familiarity with valve brands such as Fisher, Masoneilan, Samson, Rotork, AUMA, Flowserve
Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and ISO/API standards for valve performance and testing
Leadership and team management in field environments
Strong mechanical and diagnostic problem-solving abilities
Ability to interpret technical documents and plan resource schedules
Clear communication and reporting skills
