The Senior Construction Engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring all engineering and execution work complies with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. This role involves managing site engineers, resolving technical challenges, supporting project planning, and ensuring timely project delivery.
Lead and manage the technical execution of construction activities on-site.
Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
Ensure all works are performed in accordance with approved designs, codes, and project specifications.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure structural integrity and compliance.
Monitor project progress and provide engineering input to stay on schedule and within budget.
Prepare and validate engineering reports, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
Supervise and mentor site engineers and junior staff.
Enforce safety protocols and participate in HSE audits and reviews.
Represent the engineering team in coordination meetings and technical discussions.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
6–10+ years of experience in construction engineering, including leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and engineering software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000 is a plus).
Familiarity with QA/QC standards, HSE procedures, and contract specifications.
Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across teams.
Proven ability to handle high-pressure environments and complex technical challenges.
