Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will assist in the development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees. Compensation Program Support:
Assist in researching and analyzing compensation trends to ensure the organization's pay structures are competitive and equitable.
Support the administration of salary surveys and job evaluations to benchmark positions within the organization.
Benefits Administration:
Help coordinate the enrollment, renewal, and distribution processes for employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, providing accurate information and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
Ensure that compensation and benefits practices comply with federal and state regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to compensation and benefits programs.
Employee Communication:
Assist in developing communication materials to inform employees about compensation and benefits programs.
Participate in conducting informational sessions or workshops to educate employees on available benefits and compensation policies.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data related to compensation and benefits to support decision-making processes.
Prepare reports and presentations for HR management on compensation and benefits metrics.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Previous experience or internships in human resources, compensation, or benefits roles is advantageous but not required.
Basic understanding of compensation and benefits principles and practices.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees and external vendors.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with HRIS platforms is a plus.
