We are looking for a proactive and technically sound Commissioning Supervisor – HVAC Systems (Mid-Level) to lead and execute the commissioning of HVAC systems across industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects. The role involves supervising site activities, conducting functional testing, ensuring system integration, and validating performance in line with project specifications, ASHRAE standards, and industry best practices.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise commissioning activities for HVAC systems such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, ventilation systems, and duct networks.
Lead on-site functional and performance testing, balancing, and tuning of HVAC systems in line with project schedules.
Review and interpret HVAC commissioning plans, equipment manuals, and system drawings to ensure technical accuracy.
Collaborate with electrical, BMS, plumbing, and fire protection teams for integrated system testing and handover.
Identify and resolve system deficiencies, manage punch lists, and oversee corrective actions in coordination with vendors and contractors.
Monitor site safety practices during testing and equipment start-up; enforce compliance with HSE protocols.
Maintain detailed commissioning documentation including test reports, checklists, log sheets, and status dashboards.
Support final system handover and assist with preparation of O&M documentation and client training.
System Integration & Functional Testing: Ensure seamless coordination between HVAC systems and associated controls, electrical, and safety systems.
Performance Validation: Verify HVAC systems meet design intent, capacity requirements, energy efficiency, and comfort criteria.
Quality & Compliance: Enforce adherence to ASHRAE, SMACNA, local codes, and project-specific quality benchmarks during commissioning.
Documentation & Reporting: Lead the preparation and upkeep of commissioning logs, functional test protocols, and final acceptance documents.
Client & Contractor Coordination: Act as the technical point of contact between site teams, consultants, and vendors for all HVAC commissioning matters.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
4–7 years of HVAC commissioning experience in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of chilled water systems, VRV/VRF units, BMS integration, and HVAC control sequences.
Hands-on experience with air and hydronic balancing, test instruments, and functional performance testing.
Ability to read HVAC layouts, schematics, and installation drawings.
Strong communication and leadership skills for supervising subcontractors and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with commissioning management tools and reporting software is an advantage.
