Cleaning Supervisor

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Role Summary

Lead small cleaning crews on residential and light-commercial jobs (deep cleaning, move-in/out, post-maintenance clean-ups, periodic floor care). You’ll plan tasks, brief the team, ensure HSE and quality standards, and close jobs with proper documentation and client sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Job planning & mobilization: Review scope, assess site access/permits, allocate manpower, confirm tools/chemicals, and brief the team.

  • On-site supervision: Assign tasks, monitor progress, enforce checklists/SOPs (kitchen, washrooms, floors, glass, upholstery, AC grills/vents).

  • Quality assurance: Conduct mid-job and final inspections; rectify snags; obtain client sign-off with before/after photos.

  • HSE compliance: Ensure PPE use, safe chemical handling (dilution/MSDS), ladder/work-at-height precautions, slip/fall controls, and waste segregation.

  • Equipment handling: Oversee correct use of vacuums, single-disc/auto-scrubbers, wet/dry vacs, steamers, and window-cleaning tools; arrange maintenance as needed.

  • Stock control: Track and report consumables usage (detergents, disinfectants, trash liners, pads), prevent pilferage, and request replenishment.

  • Client communication: Provide status updates, seek approval for variations, manage expectations professionally in occupied premises.

  • Documentation: Record timesheets, materials, photos, and checklist results in CRM; submit invoices/job sheets promptly.

  • Team development: On-the-job training for cleaning techniques, tool care, and HSE basics; uphold grooming and conduct standards.

  • Coordination: Liaise with dispatch on routing, parking/community rules, and handover to other trades (e.g., painters, AC techs).

Minimum Requirements

  • 3–5 years cleaning industry experience with at least 1 year as team lead/supervisor.

  • Practical knowledge of SOPs for deep cleaning, sanitization, stain removal, floor care (scrub/rinse/buff), and glass cleaning.

  • Strong HSE awareness: chemical pH/dilutions, MSDS, color-coding, cross-contamination control.

  • Ability to read/complete checklists and simple site drawings; basic issue escalation.

  • Basic English for notes and client interaction (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).

  • Smartphone for CRM, navigation, and photo documentation.

  • Valid UAE driving license preferred; ability to travel between emirates.

Education & Certifications

  • High school (minimum); vocational cleaning or hospitality certificates preferred.

  • BICSc/housekeeping, basic First Aid, or HSE awareness certificates are an advantage.
