We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Chiller Mechanic – Fresher to join our technical team. This entry-level position provides hands-on training and practical experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of chiller systems. Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Commissioning:
• Assist senior technicians in the installation and commissioning of chiller systems.
• Support the setup, calibration, and testing of chiller units to ensure proper operation.
• Follow technical guidelines and procedures to ensure installations meet industry standards.
Maintenance and Repairs:
• Help perform routine preventive maintenance on chiller systems, including cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues in chiller systems.
• Aid in the repair and reassembly of chiller components under the supervision of experienced mechanics.
Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations during maintenance and repair tasks.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Participate in safety training programs and follow established safety procedures. Documentation and Reporting:
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service logs.
• Support the preparation of basic reports on chiller performance and maintenance work.
• Document any issues or deviations from standard procedures and report them to the supervisor.
Learning and Development:
• Engage in on-the-job training programs to develop technical skills specific to chiller systems.
• Gain hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and repair techniques under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Collaborate with team members to understand system operations, troubleshooting methods, and maintenance best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in refrigeration, HVAC technology, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
• A basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems is beneficial. Experience:
• 0-1 years of prior professional experience is required; this is an entry-level position.
• Any internships, projects, or hands-on training related to refrigeration or HVAC systems will be considered an asset.
Skills:
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in chiller maintenance. • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools. • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following standard operating procedures.
Certifications (Preferred):
• Basic safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are an advantage.
