Job Title: Chief Diversity Officer
Job
Summary:
The Senior Chief Diversity Officer is a key executive leader responsible for
establishing and driving the organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion
(DEI) strategy at the highest level. This role partners with the executive team
and department heads to embed DEI into the company’s culture, policies, and
business practices. You will lead strategic initiatives, develop innovative
programs, and use data-driven insights to foster an inclusive workplace that
attracts and retains top talent, while ensuring compliance with industry
standards and legal requirements.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Develop
and execute a comprehensive DEI strategy aligned with the organization’s
long-term business objectives.
- Advise
the executive team and board on DEI trends, challenges, and opportunities,
positioning DEI as a critical driver of business success.
- Design,
implement, and oversee organization-wide DEI initiatives, including training,
mentorship programs, and employee resource groups.
- Lead
the creation of policies and procedures that promote equitable practices across
all business functions.
- Establish
metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of DEI
initiatives.
- Monitor,
analyze, and report on DEI progress, using data to drive continuous improvement
and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate
with HR, marketing, legal, and business unit leaders to ensure DEI principles
are integrated into recruitment, talent development, and organizational
culture.
- Serve
as the primary spokesperson for DEI, both internally and externally, enhancing
the company’s reputation as an inclusive employer.
- Lead
change management efforts to transform organizational culture, ensuring
diversity and inclusion are woven into the company’s values and practices.
- Develop
and implement communication strategies that reinforce the importance of DEI at
every level of the organization.
- Build
relationships with industry associations, community organizations, and academic
institutions to advance the organization’s DEI initiatives.
- Represent
the company at conferences, seminars, and networking events to share best
practices and learn from industry peers.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development,
Social Sciences, or a related field is required.
- A
Master’s degree or advanced certifications in diversity and inclusion,
organizational leadership, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- 10+
years of progressive experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion, human
resources, or related fields, with a significant portion in a leadership or
executive role.
- Proven
track record of developing and implementing successful DEI strategies and
initiatives within complex organizations.

- In-depth
knowledge of DEI best practices, legal and regulatory requirements, and
emerging trends in the field.
- Demonstrated
experience in leading cultural transformation initiatives and managing
cross-functional teams.
- Professional
certifications related to diversity and inclusion (e.g., Certified Diversity
Executive, Cornell’s Diversity and Inclusion Certificate) are a plus.
