Job Title: Director/VP - Cell Towers Upgrade and Maintenance

Job Summary

The Director/VP of Cell Towers Upgrade and Maintenance provides strategic leadership in the planning, deployment, and long-term management of cellular tower infrastructure. This executive role focuses on innovation, regulatory compliance, and optimizing network expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of cell tower upgrade and maintenance strategies to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Direct and lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to execute projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage large-scale budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices in tower operations while maximizing resource utilization.
  • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure efficient, safe, and regulatory-compliant tower operations.
  • Provide executive-level reports on performance metrics, financials, and future infrastructure needs to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate project success.
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and innovations in the telecom sector to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Extensive knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and the evolving needs of cellular networks.
  • Expertise in project management, budgeting, and team leadership with a focus on delivering results.
  • Strong understanding of national and international regulations related to tower construction and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of wireless communication technologies, including 4G, 5G, and beyond.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and organizational skills to navigate complex projects.
  • High-level negotiation and stakeholder management skills to influence and drive change.

Educational Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or related areas are preferred.

  • Budget and resource management to ensure financial health.
  • Cross-departmental leadership and coordination to achieve project goals.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with significant experience in leadership roles overseeing tower infrastructure projects.

Tools and Equipment

  • Enterprise-level project management software for tracking and reporting.
  • Financial and budget management tools to oversee project costs.
  • Reporting and data analysis software to inform decision-making.
