Job Summary:

The Senior Calibration Workshop Supervisor is responsible for leading the calibration workshop, ensuring all measurement instruments meet technical, safety, and regulatory requirements. This role oversees calibration teams, develops quality control procedures, manages compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025), and ensures instrumentation accuracy to support safe and reliable plant operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end calibration of instrumentation including pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical devices.

  • Supervise and mentor a team of calibration technicians, ensuring adherence to industry standards and procedures.

  • Review and approve calibration procedures, certification formats, and traceability documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and relevant HSE and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage scheduling and workload distribution to optimize workshop efficiency and ensure timely turnaround.

  • Lead internal audits, external inspections, and support accreditation renewals.

  • Maintain calibration master records and integrate data with asset management systems (CMMS, SAP, etc.).

  • Evaluate and authorize procurement of high-precision calibration equipment and tools.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for calibration-related non-conformities.

  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and QA/QC departments to align instrumentation reliability with process requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Metrology Engineering

  • 8–12 years of experience in instrumentation and calibration, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or supervisory role

  • In-depth knowledge of calibration methods, uncertainty calculations, and compliance standards

  • Proficiency in handling advanced calibration instruments and software tools

  • Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 audit preparation and quality system management
