The Junior Calibration Workshop Supervisor assists in overseeing daily operations within the calibration workshop. This includes supporting the calibration, testing, and documentation of measurement and control instruments used in field operations. The role involves hands-on work with a wide range of devices, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with industry standards.
Assist in the calibration and functional testing of instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, level transmitters, and analyzers.
Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and certification of calibrated instruments.
Support in preparing and maintaining calibration logs, reports, and traceability records in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 or similar standards.
Monitor workshop tools, calibration equipment, and environmental conditions for operational readiness.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing instruments for calibration with field teams and departments.
Follow up on calibration schedules and assist in updating the maintenance management system.
Adhere to workshop safety protocols and assist in organizing equipment and workspaces.
Participate in audits and inspections by internal or external quality control teams.
Provide technical support to technicians and ensure instruments are handled and stored correctly.
Learn and apply calibration techniques under the supervision of senior staff.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or related field
1–3 years of experience in calibration or instrumentation support (including internship or hands-on training)
Basic understanding of calibration principles, measurement accuracy, and instrument handling
Familiarity with calibration tools (e.g., multimeters, pressure calibrators, deadweight testers, dry block calibrators) is a plus
Awareness of ISO/IEC standards relevant to calibration labs and traceability systems
Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
Basic documentation and record-keeping skills
Willingness to learn and grow into full supervisory responsibilities
Ability to work in workshop/lab environments and handle delicate instrumentation
Teamwork, time management, and clear communication
