The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing routine calibration and maintenance of instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role involves working independently on basic tasks while assisting senior technicians on more complex projects. The Junior Technician plays a key role in maintaining equipment reliability and supporting operational efficiency.
Perform routine calibration and testing of instruments, such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, and other measurement devices.
Inspect and verify the accuracy of instruments using diagnostic and calibration tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues in equipment, escalating complex problems to senior technicians.
Document calibration activities, including test results and adjustments, and maintain accurate records in calibration logs or software systems.
Assist in the preparation and review of calibration certificates and reports.
Support the development and implementation of calibration schedules and procedures.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Basic understanding of calibration techniques and measurement principles ( temperature, pressure, flow, voltage).
Familiarity with calibration tools such as multimeters, calibrators, and signal generators.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and calibration procedures.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate results.
Diploma or associate degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related technical field.
1-2 years of experience in calibration or instrumentation, or equivalent exposure through internships or training programs.
Calibration tools ( pressure calibrators, loop calibrators, thermocouple simulators).
Diagnostic equipment ( oscilloscopes, multimeters).
Calibration management software or manual logs for documentation.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple calibration tasks.
Effective communication skills for reporting and collaborating with teams.
Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
Flexibility to work in field environments as required.
