The Calibration Technician is an entry-level role focused on learning and assisting in the calibration and maintenance of instruments and equipment. This position involves gaining hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, understanding calibration standards, and ensuring that instruments operate within required tolerances. The role is designed to build foundational skills for a career in calibration and instrumentation.
Assist in the calibration of instruments and equipment under the supervision of senior technicians.
Perform basic troubleshooting to identify and report issues in instrumentation.
Learn to use diagnostic and calibration tools for various instruments.
Document calibration activities and maintain accurate logs of work performed.
Follow organizational and industry standards for quality and safety during calibration tasks.
Support routine inspections and testing to ensure instrument accuracy.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of calibration tools, equipment, and work areas.
Basic understanding of measurement concepts, such as pressure, temperature, and flow.
Willingness to learn the use of calibration tools and techniques.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or certification in instrumentation, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
Exposure to academic projects or internships related to instrumentation and calibration is an advantage.
Basic calibration tools ( multimeters, pressure gauges, thermometers).
Diagnostic equipment for measuring instrument performance.
Familiarity with calibration software or systems is advantageous but not required.
Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise in calibration.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
