Job Title: BI Manager / BI Team Lead
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and strategic BI Manager / BI Team Lead to lead our Business Intelligence function and manage a growing team of analysts and data professionals. This role plays a critical part in aligning BI initiatives with broader business goals, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of analytics, and fostering a high-performing, data-driven culture.
As a BI Manager, you will provide leadership in analytics strategy, team development, data platform governance, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for setting vision, driving innovation, and delivering measurable business value through effective use of data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of BI analysts and data engineers, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
- Define team goals, establish performance metrics, and create career development plans for team members
- Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of reports, dashboards, and analytics projects
- Collaborate with business leaders to translate strategic goals into data solutions and KPIs
- Develop and maintain the BI strategy, aligning tools, practices, and priorities with long-term business needs
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and capacity planning for BI initiatives
- Ensure data quality, governance, and standardization across analytics outputs
- Partner with data engineering, IT, and product teams to evolve enterprise data platforms and analytics capabilities
- Lead initiatives to increase self-service BI adoption, empower business users, and improve data literacy
- Stay current with emerging BI tools, technologies, and best practices, integrating them into team workflows where appropriate
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master’s degree (e.g., in Data Science, Business Analytics, or MBA) is preferred
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data strategy, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Demonstrated success in building and managing analytics teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proven experience aligning BI efforts to business objectives and delivering strategic insights at scale
Technical Skills:
- Strong foundational knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and data visualization best practices
- Solid understanding of enterprise data platforms, data warehousing, and cloud environments (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure)
- Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, ETL frameworks, and performance optimization
- Experience integrating BI with data governance, metadata management, and compliance requirements

- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities within high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into actionable analytics initiatives
- Capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and timelines with a structured and proactive approach
- Adept at conflict resolution, team motivation, and performance management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing cross-functional analytics programs across multiple business domains (e.g., marketing, operations, finance, product)
- Hands-on experience implementing BI platforms at scale and managing change across diverse stakeholder groups
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana), and version control systems
- Industry-specific experience (e.g., e-commerce, fintech, healthcare, SaaS) is a plus
