Install, seal, and hand over façade elements—aluminum windows/doors, storefronts, small curtain wall zones, rainscreen cladding (ACP/HPL/GRC/stone/terracotta), louvers, sunshades, balustrades, and canopies—accurately, watertight, airtight, and safe, meeting project specs, UAE Fire & Life Safety requirements, and consultant approvals.
Read IFC/shop drawings, setting-out and anchorage details; confirm tolerances and substrates (plumb/level/opening sizes).
Coordinate builder’s work: rebates/returns, sill falls, embeds, thermal/air barrier continuity, and waterproofing tie-ins.
Verify materials (extrusions, finishes, glass type/thickness, fixings) and protection films.
Fix sub-frames/rails and primary anchors to approved spacing and torque; record torque logs.
Maintain required edge distances, packers/shims, isolation pads (to prevent bimetallic corrosion), and thermal breaks.
Install frames, doors, and glazed units with correct bite/edge cover, setting blocks, spacers/packers; seat gaskets properly.
Erect cladding panels to line/level; ensure expansion joints and movement joints are respected; keep ventilation/drain paths open.
Apply primers and perimeter sealants with backer rods to designed joint sizes; achieve continuous air/water barrier.
Fit sill flashings, end dams, drip edges; ensure weep holes are unobstructed.
Install firestopping/cavity barriers exactly per approved details and coordinate inspections.
Clean, snag, and protect completed areas (films, edge guards, barriers); align hardware/closers and check smooth operation.
Support QA/QC field tests (hose/water infiltration, anchor pull-out); close snags promptly.
Provide inputs for as-builts, O&M/cleaning guidance, and warranties.
Work to method statements/ITPs; raise MIR/WIR; maintain daily progress and photographic records of concealed works.
Coordinate with MEP for penetrations near frames and with waterproofing/tiling at thresholds and terraces.
Working-at-height controls (scaffolds/MEWPs, lifelines, harnesses), dropped-object prevention, and glass handling with certified suction lifters.
Safe use of power tools (guards, dust extraction), manual handling plans for large panes/panels, and exclusion zones below work fronts.
Heat & Humidity
Schedule lifts, glazing, and sealant works early morning/evening; comply with MOHRE summer midday break.
Store frames/glass/adhesives in shade/ventilated areas; follow data-sheet limits for substrate temperature, dew point, and cure times.
Protect coated aluminum and IGUs from thermal shock; ventilate enclosed spaces during sealant/adhesive use.
Dust/Sand
Keep tracks, gaskets, bonding faces clean; mask adjacent finishes when cutting; cap open cavities until close-out.
Occasional Rain/Coastal Influence
Prioritize sill flashings/end dams; ensure weep/drain paths are open; weatherproof penetrations and external JBs; use corrosion-resistant fixings where specified.
Traffic & Logistics
Plan off-peak deliveries for long profiles/large panes; provide banksmen; obtain SRTA/Police permits if curbside cranes/MEWPs affect public roads.
Stage A-frames close to work fronts without overloading slabs; maintain safe pedestrian/inspection routes.
5–8 years façade installation (UAE/GCC preferred) on low/mid-rise buildings.
Skilled in aluminum/glazing systems, rainscreen cladding, sealants, and anchorage; able to read drawings and use lasers/levels.
Familiar with UAE Fire & Life Safety interfaces (cavity barriers/firestopping) and consultant inspection practices.
Basic English for coordination (Arabic/Urdu/Hindi an advantage).
Laser level/total station (as available), torque wrench, impact driver/SDS drill, suction lifters, glass A-frames, riveters/fasteners, grinders with extraction, sealant guns & nozzles, backer rods/primers, measuring tapes/squares, PPE (harness, helmet, gloves, cut-resistant sleeves, eye/ear protection).
Precise setting-out and tolerance control
Watertight/airtight detailing and sealant quality
Safe handling/lifting at height and clean housekeeping
Documentation discipline (ITPs, torque logs, test records)
Cross-trade coordination (waterproofing, masonry, MEP)
First-time pass on consultant field inspections and water/anchor tests.
Zero leaks at handover and during DLP; minimal rework/snags.
Programme adherence for frames, glazing, cladding, and sealing.
Zero major HSE incidents; full compliance with midday break & TMPs.
Complete as-builts/O&M/warranties accepted on first submission.
Shop drawings/setting-out, anchorage details, samples/mock-ups, material approvals.
Method statements, ITPs, MIR/WIR logs, torque & sealant batch records.
Field test reports (water/anchor) and photographic evidence of concealed works.
As-built drawings, O&M/cleaning manuals, warranties and care instructions.
