Job Title: Boiler and Turbine Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Boiler and Turbine Technician – Fresher to join our maintenance team. As a fresher, you will receive on-the-job training and assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of boilers and turbines in our facility. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to start their career in the energy or power generation industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and learn the technical skills required to ensure the efficient and safe operation of boilers and turbine systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with Boiler and Turbine Operations:
- Assist senior technicians in monitoring and operating boiler and turbine systems to ensure they are functioning efficiently.
- Learn to perform routine checks on pressure, temperature, and flow rates to ensure systems are operating within specifications.
- Help adjust system parameters as required to maintain optimal performance under supervision.
Preventive Maintenance Support:
- Assist in conducting preventive maintenance (PM) on boilers, turbines, and auxiliary systems, following established procedures and schedules.
- Perform basic cleaning, lubrication, and inspection tasks to ensure the reliable operation of the equipment.
- Learn to recognize signs of wear and tear and assist with minor repairs to maintain equipment in optimal condition.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Under supervision, assist in diagnosing issues with boilers and turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.
- Learn to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults in boiler and turbine systems.
- Support in performing minor repairs and part replacements, following safety and operational guidelines.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures when working with boilers, turbines, and related systems.
- Ensure that proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times and adhere to plant safety rules.
- Assist with safety inspections and participate in safety drills and training sessions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of boiler and turbine operations, maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Help track equipment performance, document issues encountered, and report findings to senior technicians and managers.
- Learn how to maintain equipment logs, including operational parameters, maintenance history, and repair details.
Learning and Development:
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to gain a better understanding of boiler and turbine systems, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.
- Shadow experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience in equipment operations and maintenance.
- Gradually take on more complex tasks as your knowledge and skills grow.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge or coursework related to boilers, turbines, or industrial machinery is a plus.
Experience:
- No prior professional experience required. This is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in the energy sector.
- Any hands-on experience with machinery or power systems during internships, projects, or training is a benefit.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
