We are looking for a Junior Boiler Welder to assist in welding and fabrication tasks related to boiler repair, maintenance, and installation. The ideal candidate will have basic welding skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of senior technicians.
Perform welding and brazing on boiler tubes, shells, and pressure parts under supervision.
Assist in cutting, shaping, and fitting metal components for boiler and steam system repairs.
Follow welding procedures, safety practices, and quality standards in all assigned tasks.
Support senior welders during overhauls, re-tubing, and emergency breakdown repairs.
Prepare surfaces and joints to be welded, including cleaning and pre-heating as required.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
Follow blueprint and technical instructions for repair and fabrication jobs.
Participate in safety drills and toolbox talks to ensure safe work practices.
Welding Quality & Precision: Ensure strong, leak-proof, and defect-free welds on pressure vessels and boiler components.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including PPE use, confined space entry, and fire safety during hot work.
Learning & Skill Development: Continuously improve technical skills by learning from senior welders and attending training sessions.
Support & Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with the maintenance and boiler operations teams during planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
Equipment Maintenance: Keep welding machines, torches, and safety gear in proper working condition and report any malfunctions.
ITI / Diploma in Welding Technology or equivalent.
1–3 years of experience in industrial or boiler-related welding.
Basic understanding of boiler systems, metallurgy, and safety protocols.
Exposure to ARC, TIG, and MIG welding (Boiler-specific welding experience is a plus).
Willingness to work in shifts, confined spaces, and high-temperature environments.
