    • Replace, repair, and maintain valves and related components (e.g., actuators, seals, gaskets) to ensure optimal performance and safety.
    • Perform leak testing, pressure testing, and calibrations to confirm the correct functioning of valves and their integration into the boiler system.
  2. Installation and Setup:

    • Install new valves and related systems in boiler systems, ensuring they are correctly integrated and function according to system requirements.
    • Manage the installation of valves for new boiler systems and retrofitting of existing systems, ensuring that installation procedures are followed precisely.
    • Assist in system startup procedures and ensure proper valve calibration and performance post-installation.
  3. Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:

    • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on boiler valves, ensuring that they are kept in optimal working condition and compliant with regulatory standards.
    • Perform condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance using appropriate tools and techniques to identify potential issues before they affect system performance.
    • Support the development and implementation of maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend the life of valve systems.
  4. Project Management and Coordination:

    • Lead small to medium-sized maintenance projects, including valve replacements, system upgrades, and major repairs.
    • Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure valve-related work is completed on schedule and within budget.
    • Oversee the management of parts and materials required for valve maintenance, ensuring timely procurement and efficient use of resources.
  5. Training and Mentorship:

    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them with valve maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
    • Share knowledge of best practices and safety procedures with less experienced team members.
    • Train junior technicians in valve operations, maintenance techniques, and safety protocols.
  6. Testing and Quality Control:

    • Oversee the testing of newly installed or repaired valves to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
    • Conduct detailed inspections of valve performance and identify any potential issues that may affect the performance of the boiler system.
    • Prepare and document test results, inspection findings, and repairs for future reference.
  7. Safety and Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure all valve maintenance, installations, and repairs are performed according to industry safety standards (e.g., ASME, API) and regulations.
    • Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety regulations when working with valves in boiler systems, including the safe handling of pressure vessels and other critical components.
    • Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a safe working environment.
  8. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of valve maintenance, inspections, repairs, and installations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation for all work completed.
    • Provide comprehensive reports on valve performance, troubleshooting actions, and equipment failures to senior engineers and management.
    • Assist in preparing maintenance logs and contributing to the development of maintenance manuals and procedures.
  9. Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in valve technology, and implement improvements as necessary.
    • Continuously assess current valve systems and processes for opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve system reliability.
    • Contribute ideas for improving maintenance practices, equipment performance, and overall operational efficiency.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Strong technical knowledge of boiler valve systems, including safety valves, pressure relief valves, and control valves.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, with a focus on valve-related issues.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and valve testing equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., ASME, API) related to boiler systems and valve maintenance.
  • Familiarity with CAD software or valve design tools for creating layouts, schematics, or installation plans is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple valve maintenance projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex valve system issues efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with senior technicians, engineers, and other departments.
