The Boiler Multi Welder is a senior-level position responsible for performing advanced welding tasks on various boiler components. This role requires a high level of expertise in multiple welding techniques, including but not limited to MIG, TIG, and stick welding. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of welding safety standards and procedures, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. The Boiler Multi Welder will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that all welding projects meet quality standards and are completed on time. This position is critical in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of boiler systems, contributing to the overall operational success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Understand and follow complex blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Welding Tasks: Perform advanced welding tasks such as joining metal components, repairing boilers, and reinforcing existing structures
Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections of boilers and pressure vessels for defects, perform necessary repairs, and conduct regular maintenance
Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
Documentation: Accurately document all repair and maintenance work for future reference and reporting
Physical Work: Engage in physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and standing for long periods
Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior welders and assist in training new hires
Skills:
Advanced math and geometry skills for interpreting complex blueprints
Extensive hands-on experience with welding tools and equipment
Ability to work in various conditions and maintain precision and accuracy
Physical Stamina: Strong physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks
Technical Expertise: High proficiency in using welding equipment and understanding of advanced welding techniques

Education:
Matriculation (High School Diploma or GED)
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant welding experience
Technical Certification and Training:
Welding Certifications: Certified Welder (CW), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or other relevant certifications
Technical Training: Advanced courses in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and oxy-fuel cutting processes
