The Boiler Multi Welder plays a crucial role in the fabrication and repair of boiler components within various industrial settings. This junior-level position requires a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality welds on various materials, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with industry standards. The Boiler Multi Welder will work closely with senior welders and engineers to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety regulations and quality control measures.
Responsibilities:
Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Understand and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Welding Tasks: Perform various welding tasks such as joining metal components, repairing boilers, and reinforcing existing structures
Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect boilers and pressure vessels for defects, perform necessary repairs, and conduct regular maintenance
Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
Documentation: Document all repair and maintenance work for future reference and reporting
Physical Work: Engage in physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and standing for long periods
Skills:
Basic math and geometry skills for interpreting blueprints
Hands-on experience with welding tools and equipment
Ability to work in various conditions and maintain precision and accuracy
Physical Stamina: Strong physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in using welding equipment and understanding of welding techniques

Education:
Matriculation (High School Diploma or GED)
Experience:

Technical Certification and Training:

Technical Training: Courses in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and oxy-fuel cutting processes or any relevant courses
