Job Summary:
The
Fresher Boiler Mechanical Fitter will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of boiler systems and related mechanical components in industrial, commercial, or manufacturing settings. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to develop hands-on experience in boiler fitting, mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting. The Boiler Mechanical Fitter will work closely with senior fitters and engineers, following safety protocols and ensuring all work is completed according to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Boiler Installation Assistance:
- Assist senior fitters in installing boilers and related mechanical components, including pipes, valves, and heat exchangers.
- Support the assembly and alignment of boiler parts, ensuring they are securely installed and function as designed.
- Help prepare the site for installation by ensuring all necessary equipment and tools are available and in good working condition.

Maintenance and Repairs:
- Assist in conducting routine inspections and maintenance of boiler systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
- Help troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in boilers, including leaks, pressure problems, and malfunctioning components.
- Replace worn-out parts such as seals, valves, and gaskets under the supervision of senior fitters.

Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure personal and team safety while working on boilers and mechanical systems.
- Assist in performing safety checks on the boiler systems to ensure they meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to industry safety codes and standards, such as ASME or local safety regulations, during all maintenance and installation activities.

Mechanical Assembly and Fabrication:
- Help assemble and fabricate mechanical components such as pipes, flanges, and fittings, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Assist with the welding, cutting, and bending of metal components as required for boiler installation or repairs.
- Work with hand tools and power tools to assemble mechanical components in accordance with design drawings and specifications.

Testing and Inspection Support:
- Assist in pressure testing, leakage tests, and other procedures to ensure the boiler system is functioning as per operational standards.
- Support the inspection of boiler systems during commissioning and maintenance, identifying potential problems and ensuring everything is in optimal working condition.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Help maintain records of work completed, including repairs, maintenance, and installations.
- Document any issues or repairs that are made, providing detailed reports for senior engineers or project managers.
- Keep track of all tools, equipment, and materials used during installation or repair, ensuring everything is accounted for and properly stored.

Learning and Development:
- Continuously develop mechanical skills and knowledge related to boiler systems, including learning about steam generation, pressure systems, and heat exchange mechanisms.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job learning to improve technical expertise.

Skill Development: Gain technical knowledge and
experience in oil and gas field operations.
Educational Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).
- Basic technical certifications in mechanical fitting, welding, or industrial safety are beneficial but not required.
- Any coursework or academic projects in mechanical engineering or related fields is advantageous.
Experience:
- No prior professional experience required.
- Internships, academic projects, or hands-on experience with mechanical systems, boiler systems, or industrial maintenance is beneficial but not mandatory.
Tools and Technologies:
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools, including wrenches, drills, cutting tools, and pipe-bending machines.
- Basic understanding of boiler components, such as pressure valves, gaskets, and heat exchangers.
- Exposure to basic welding, cutting, and fitting techniques for mechanical systems is a plus.
