Job Title:Boiler Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Senior Boiler Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of boiler systems. You will mentor junior engineers and ensure that all boiler systems operate efficiently and safely. This role requires extensive experience in boiler systems, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development:

    • Lead the design and development of boiler systems and components.

    • Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.

    • Conduct research to identify new technologies and materials that can improve boiler performance.

  2. Installation:

    • Oversee the installation of boiler systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

    • Coordinate with contractors and other team members to ensure smooth installation processes.

    • Perform site inspections to verify proper installation and functionality of boiler systems.

  3. Maintenance:

    • Perform and supervise advanced maintenance and inspections to ensure the efficient operation of boiler systems.

    • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of boiler systems.

    • Identify and replace worn or damaged components to maintain optimal performance.

  4. Troubleshooting:

    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to boiler performance and safety.

    • Use diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint problems and implement effective solutions.

    • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers in addressing technical challenges.

  5. Documentation:

    • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

    • Prepare detailed reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.

    • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for future reference.

  6. Compliance:

    • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.

    • Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards that may impact boiler systems.

    • Lead safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines.

  7. Quality Control:

    • Lead quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Conduct tests and inspections to verify the quality and performance of boiler systems.

    • Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues identified during inspections.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

  • Extensive understanding of boiler systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

  • Proficiency with CAD software and other engineering tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Focus Areas:

Field Instrumentation: Assist in maintaining and calibrating field devices for accurate process control.

Troubleshooting: Learn basic fault diagnosis and support the resolution of issues in instrumentation systems.

Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and participate in training programs to ensure workplace safety.

Skill Development: Gain technical knowledge and experience in oil and gas field operations.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in boiler systems or related fields.

Tools and Technologies:

  • CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

  • Diagnostic tools and equipment for boiler systems.

  • Engineering analysis software.

Other Requirements:

  • Proven ability to manage large projects and lead teams.

  • Flexibility to travel to client sites or project locations as needed.
