Job Title: Boiler Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Junior Boiler Mechanical Engineer, you will assist in the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of boiler systems. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure that all boiler systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development:

    • Assist in the design and development of boiler systems and components.

    • Collaborate with senior engineers to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.

    • Conduct research to identify new technologies and materials that can improve boiler performance.

  2. Installation:

    • Support the installation of boiler systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

    • Coordinate with contractors and other team members to ensure smooth installation processes.

    • Perform site inspections to verify proper installation and functionality of boiler systems.

  3. Maintenance:

    • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the efficient operation of boiler systems.

    • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of boiler systems.

    • Identify and replace worn or damaged components to maintain optimal performance.

  4. Troubleshooting:

    • Identify and resolve issues related to boiler performance and safety.

    • Use diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint problems and implement effective solutions.

    • Work closely with senior engineers to address complex technical challenges.

  5. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

    • Prepare detailed reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.

    • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for future reference.

  6. Compliance:

    • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.

    • Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards that may impact boiler systems.

    • Participate in safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines.

  7. Quality Control:

    • Participate in quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.

    • Conduct tests and inspections to verify the quality and performance of boiler systems.

    • Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues identified during inspections.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

  • Basic understanding of boiler systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

  • Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and work environments quickly.

Key Focus Areas:

Field Instrumentation: Assist in maintaining and calibrating field devices for accurate process control.

Troubleshooting: Learn basic fault diagnosis and support the resolution of issues in instrumentation systems.

Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and participate in training programs to ensure workplace safety.

Skill Development: Gain technical knowledge and experience in oil and gas field operations.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of prior experience is required, but internships or projects related to boiler systems are a plus.

Tools and Technologies:

  • CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

  • Diagnostic tools and equipment for boiler systems.

  • Engineering analysis software.
