Job Title: Boiler Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined individual to join our team as a Boiler Mechanical Engineer. In this entry-level position, you will work alongside experienced engineers, learning the fundamentals of boiler operation, maintenance, and repair in a safety-critical environment. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those with limited work experience in mechanical engineering who are passionate about boiler systems and industrial operations. The successful candidate will be trained in practical engineering tasks, safety compliance, and modern diagnostic techniques to support our operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisted Operations & Maintenance:

    • Collaborate with senior engineers to monitor and operate boiler systems.

    • Assist with routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and performance assessments.

    • Support troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical issues affecting boiler performance.

  • System Monitoring & Testing:

    • Learn to interpret control panel data, operational logs, and diagnostic equipment outputs.

    • Assist in conducting performance tests to ensure boiler systems meet safety and efficiency standards.

    • Participate in calibration of instruments and testing of safety valves and controls.

  • Installation & Upgrades:

    • Support the installation and start-up processes for new boiler systems or modifications.

    • Aid in the implementation of upgrades, retrofitting projects, and energy-saving initiatives.

  • Documentation & Compliance:

    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts inventories.

    • Learn and adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards (e.g., ASME codes, safety protocols).

    • Assist with report preparation and documentation for maintenance schedules and compliance audits.

  • Safety & Training:

    • Follow strict safety guidelines and protocols during all operations.

    • Participate in ongoing training sessions and safety briefings.

    • Contribute to creating and maintaining a safe working environment by identifying potential hazards and suggesting improvements.

  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including operations, quality assurance, and project management.

    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure timely resolution of issues.

    • Provide support during emergency repair situations and high-pressure maintenance tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Educational Background:

    • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline.

    • Relevant internships or project work in industrial or thermal systems is preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Basic understanding of boiler operations, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

    • Familiarity with mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

    • Ability to operate basic diagnostic and testing equipment.

  • Professional Attributes:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

    • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Certifications (Preferred but not required):

    • EIT (Engineer In Training) status or relevant mechanical certifications.

    • Basic training in Occupational Health and Safety.
