We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Mid-Level Boiler Engineer to manage and execute mechanical engineering tasks related to the operation, maintenance, and reliability of boiler systems in an industrial or power generation environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in boiler mechanics, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, along with experience coordinating with cross-functional teams for planned maintenance, inspections, and process improvements.
Monitor and optimize boiler performance including fuel efficiency, combustion stability, steam output, and water chemistry.
Ensure safe and efficient startup, shutdown, and load change procedures.
Identify performance deviations and support root cause analysis to reduce unplanned downtime.
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on boiler components such as feedwater systems, economizers, superheaters, and burners.
Troubleshoot mechanical failures in valves, pumps, fans, steam traps, and piping.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule outages and ensure availability of spares.
Conduct regular inspections and coordinate third-party audits or statutory inspections (e.g., IBR, ASME).
Maintain logs, reports, and compliance documentation related to mechanical systems and boiler operation.
Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Assist in modification or upgrade projects related to boiler systems and auxiliaries.
Provide inputs on design improvements, retrofits, or energy efficiency initiatives.
Support shutdown planning, contractor coordination, and boiler cleaning/overhaul activities.
Enforce operational safety standards including isolation, LOTO, confined space, and pressure equipment handling.
Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and incident investigations related to boiler equipment.

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, or Thermal Engineering
Valid Boiler Attendant Certificate (First/Second Class) depending on jurisdiction
Safety training certifications (e.g., hot work, confined space, rigging) preferred
3 to 6 years of experience in boiler operation, mechanical maintenance, or erection in power plants or industrial facilities
Hands-on experience with steam generation systems, pressure parts, and auxiliaries
Strong knowledge of boiler systems, thermodynamics, and mechanical maintenance practices
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, and technical manuals
Familiarity with tools and techniques for alignment, vibration monitoring, and failure analysis
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Good communication and coordination with operations, maintenance, and HSE teams
Ability to lead technicians during troubleshooting and minor projects
