We are looking for a proactive and technically curious Junior Boiler Engineer to support the mechanical aspects of boiler systems in industrial or power plant settings. This is an entry-level position ideal for engineering graduates or diploma holders with foundational knowledge of thermodynamics and mechanical systems. The role involves assisting in the operation, maintenance, inspection, or installation of steam boilers and their auxiliary systems under the guidance of senior engineers and supervisors.
Assist in monitoring boiler performance, including temperature, pressure, fuel consumption, and water quality.
Support mechanical troubleshooting of issues related to valves, pumps, burners, economizers, and piping systems.
Help implement preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as per the maintenance schedule.
Participate in the mechanical installation of boiler components, including steam drums, water walls, superheaters, and ducts.
Support alignment, fit-up, and inspection of mechanical joints and connections during construction or retrofit projects.
Assist with equipment start-up, flushing, and hydrotesting processes under supervision.
Help conduct routine inspections and performance checks on boiler and auxiliary systems.
Maintain records of daily operation, inspections, and basic maintenance activities.
Support compliance with safety and statutory regulations such as IBR, ASME, and local boiler rules.
Follow safety protocols, including PPE use, LOTO procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
Assist in documenting maintenance work, inspection results, and shift logs.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety drills, and training programs.
Learn standard operating procedures (SOPs), boiler operation cycles, and emergency shutdown processes.
Participate in technical training related to thermodynamics, boiler efficiency, combustion, and water treatment.
Gain exposure to technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
Basic boiler operations and system monitoring

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or equivalent
Boiler Attendant Certificate (preferred or willing to pursue)
Basic safety or maintenance training certification (optional)
0 to 2 years of experience in boiler operations, maintenance, or mechanical engineering (internship/project experience acceptable)
Familiarity with steam generation systems or mechanical utility systems is a plus
Basic understanding of boiler parts, steam cycles, and combustion principles
Ability to read simple mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
Exposure to tools, instruments, and minor mechanical repair techniques
Eagerness to learn and follow instructions
Good communication and teamwork in shift environments
Safety-conscious with a methodical approach to problem-solving
