Job Title: Avionics Control Systems Engineer
Job Summary:
The Avionics Control Systems Engineer (Fresher) will assist in the design, integration, testing, and maintenance of avionics control systems used in aircraft navigation, communication, and flight control. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to work with advanced avionics systems such as autopilot, flight management systems, and communication systems. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure that avionics systems are properly calibrated, tested, and validated, meeting operational, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design and Integration Support:
- Assist in the design and integration of avionics control systems, including autopilot, flight management systems, navigation systems, and communication systems.
- Support the integration of avionics control systems with other aircraft subsystems, ensuring seamless communication and operation across systems.
- Review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications to support the integration of avionics control systems.
Calibration and Testing:
- Assist in the calibration of avionics control systems to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
- Support testing activities for avionics control systems, including verifying system functionality, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
- Help conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests, simulations, and integration testing to validate system performance under various flight conditions.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Provide support in troubleshooting avionics control system issues, assisting in diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
- Work with senior engineers to identify root causes of issues and suggest corrective actions to maintain the reliability of avionics systems.
- Document troubleshooting processes and results to improve future troubleshooting procedures.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including test plans, system specifications, and maintenance logs for avionics control systems.
- Ensure that all system modifications, calibration, and testing activities are properly documented and comply with regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Maintain accurate records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and performance reports.
System Maintenance and Support:
- Support the maintenance and servicing of avionics control systems, ensuring that they are operationally ready and meet safety standards.
- Assist with regular inspections and updates to avionics control systems to ensure they continue to meet performance specifications.
- Provide technical support during system troubleshooting or repairs and ensure systems are returned to service quickly and efficiently.
Learning and Development:
- Continuously develop knowledge and skills related to avionics control systems, avionics technologies, and aerospace engineering principles.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance understanding of avionics systems and regulatory standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in avionics control systems and technologies to contribute to process improvements and innovation.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with other engineering teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to ensure proper integration and functionality of avionics control systems.
- Communicate effectively with senior engineers to understand project goals, priorities, and timelines.
- Assist in providing technical support to other teams, such as operations and maintenance, to ensure avionics systems are functioning optimally.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Basic understanding of avionics systems and control systems used in aircraft (e.g., autopilot, flight management systems, navigation systems).
- Familiarity with control theory and systems integration in an aerospace context.
- Basic understanding of testing and calibration techniques for avionics systems.
- Good problem-solving skills to assist in identifying issues and implementing solutions for avionics systems.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure system accuracy and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or certifications related to avionics systems, flight control systems, or aerospace engineering is a plus.

- Familiarity with avionics testing equipment, simulators, and system integration tools used in the aerospace industry.
- Exposure to software tools for simulation and testing (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW).
- Basic knowledge of diagnostic tools and measurement equipment used in avionics system calibration.
