The Automation Engineer is an entry-level role designed to provide foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in automation systems. This position involves assisting senior engineers in designing, programming, and troubleshooting automated systems, while learning industry standards and best practices. The role offers exposure to advanced technologies PLCs, SCADA, and robotics, setting a strong foundation for career growth.
Assist in the design and programming of automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI interfaces.
Support the installation and commissioning of automated machinery and control systems.
Learn to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues in automated systems under supervision.
Conduct routine maintenance and testing to ensure optimal system performance.
Prepare and update technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and system manuals.
Participate in training sessions to develop skills in programming, testing, and configuring automation equipment.
Follow safety standards and organizational protocols during all activities.
Basic understanding of automation technologies such as PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and sensors.
Familiarity with programming languages used in automation ( Ladder Logic, Structured Text) is a plus.
Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
No prior experience required; internships or academic projects in automation are advantageous.
Basic knowledge of automation tools and software ( Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000).
Basic diagnostic tools ( multimeters, oscilloscopes).
Familiarity with CAD software for system design is a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to travel to project sites and work in field environments.
