Job Title:  Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Junior Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will support the assembly process by assisting in the assembly, inspection, and testing of mechanical components and products. You will work closely with senior technicians and production staff to ensure products meet quality standards, are assembled efficiently, and are ready for the next stage of production. Key Responsibilities:

1. Assembly of Products:

   • Assist in the assembly of mechanical components and systems, following detailed assembly instructions and specifications.
   • Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete product assembly.
   • Ensure that all components are correctly aligned and fastened to ensure proper functionality and structural integrity.

2. Quality Control and Inspection:

   • Perform quality checks on finished products, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications and quality standards.
   • Inspect parts for defects or irregularities, reporting issues to senior technicians or supervisors.
   • Assist in identifying and addressing assembly-related quality issues during the production process.

3. Machine and Tool Setup:

   • Assist with machine setups and adjustments to ensure that the correct parts are assembled in the correct sequence.
   • Learn to properly calibrate and set up equipment for production runs.
   • Follow all safety procedures while handling machines and tools, ensuring they are used efficiently and safely.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Assist in maintaining accurate production logs, documenting the assembly process, and recording any issues encountered.
   • Report assembly progress, quality checks, and any defects to supervisors or senior technicians.
   • Help prepare reports and other documentation related to the assembly and testing processes.

5. Collaboration and Teamwork:

   • Work closely with senior technicians and other assembly team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
   • Participate in team meetings to discuss production schedules, assembly challenges, and process improvements.
   • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

6. Learning and Skill Development:

   • Participate in on-the-job training to learn more about assembly techniques, tools, and safety protocols.
   • Continuously improve technical knowledge related to assembly processes, mechanical systems, and equipment.
   • Take on more responsibilities as you gain experience, assisting in troubleshooting and other complex tasks.

7. Safety and Compliance:

   • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing assembly tasks.
   • Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
   • Follow company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Educational Requirements:

   • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or coursework related to manufacturing, assembly, or mechanical systems is a plus.
   • Entry-level candidates with 1-2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and assembly processes.
   • Ability to use hand tools and measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
   • Willingness to learn and develop new skills related to assembly processes, tools, and equipment.

3. Soft Skills:

   • Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality assembly and product output.
   • Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting issues to supervisors.

4. Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
