Job Title:  Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Fresher Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in assembling products, ensuring that components and systems are put together according to company specifications and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their careers in manufacturing, as you will receive hands-on training and mentoring to develop your skills in assembly processes, equipment handling, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assembly of Products:

    • Assist in assembling mechanical components and products using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
    • Follow assembly instructions and blueprints to ensure proper product construction and adherence to quality standards.
    • Verify the functionality of assembled components to ensure they meet specifications and operational requirements.
  2. Component Inspection and Quality Control:

    • Inspect parts and components to ensure they are free of defects and meet quality standards before assembly.
    • Perform routine checks and tests on assembled products to ensure they meet customer requirements and safety standards.
    • Report any issues with parts or processes to the supervisor or senior technician for corrective action.
  3. Tool and Equipment Handling:

    • Learn how to use a variety of tools and equipment for assembly, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and assembly jigs.
    • Follow safety protocols while handling tools and equipment, ensuring they are used correctly and maintained in good working condition.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Record assembly details, including parts used, assembly steps completed, and any issues encountered during the process.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate production logs and quality control records.
    • Communicate any discrepancies or issues with assembly processes or components to supervisors.
  5. Collaboration with the Production Team:

    • Work closely with other technicians, production staff, and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
    • Assist in organizing workstations and ensuring that parts and materials are readily available for assembly processes.
    • Collaborate with team members to identify potential improvements to the assembly process and contribute to the team’s success.
  6. Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies when performing assembly tasks.
    • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors to maintain a safe working environment.
  7. Learning and Development:

    • Participate in on-the-job training and workshops to develop skills related to assembly processes, tools, and safety protocols.
    • Continuously improve knowledge of assembly techniques and gain familiarity with the company’s products and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Educational Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Technical certifications or coursework related to assembly, manufacturing, or mechanical systems is a plus but not required.
  2. Technical Skills:

    • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and assembly processes is preferred but not required.
    • Ability to use basic hand tools and measurement instruments (e.g., calipers, screwdrivers).
    • Willingness to learn about assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
  3. Soft Skills:

    • Attention to detail and the ability to follow assembly instructions accurately.
    • Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting issues.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
    • Eagerness to learn and improve technical skills.
  4. Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):

    • Any relevant certifications related to assembly, mechanical systems, or safety practices would be beneficial.
