The Junior Assembly Supervisor – HVAC Equipment supports day-to-day supervision of assembly line operations for HVAC units, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met. This entry-level leadership role involves hands-on oversight of technicians and assemblers, coordination with maintenance and quality teams, and the enforcement of standard work practices. The supervisor plays a key role in promoting workplace efficiency, team discipline, and adherence to work instructions.
Supervise and guide a team of HVAC assemblers on shift to meet production schedules.
Ensure proper use of tools, fixtures, and work instructions in the assembly of HVAC components (e.g., coils, fans, panels, wiring).
Monitor line productivity and escalate bottlenecks or material shortages.
Ensure all assembled units meet company and regulatory quality standards.
Conduct visual and functional checks; report non-conformances immediately.
Promote and enforce safety procedures, PPE usage, and 5S workplace standards.
Assign daily tasks and ensure even workload distribution across the assembly line.
Support onboarding and training of new employees or cross-training existing team members.
Serve as a communication bridge between production workers and higher-level supervisors.
Report daily production counts, scrap, rework, and downtime using standard forms or digital systems.
Assist with root cause investigations and minor troubleshooting of assembly-related issues.
Recommend small process improvements to enhance safety, speed, or quality.

High school diploma or GED (required)
Associate degree or technical diploma in Manufacturing Technology or related field (preferred)
2–4 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical equipment assembly
Prior experience in a team lead, line lead, or technician role in a manufacturing environment preferred
Strong knowledge of HVAC assembly processes and tools
Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and work orders
Good communication, time management, and team leadership skills
Proficiency with basic computer tools and ERP or MES systems a plus
