The Analyzer Systems Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of analyzer system operations, ensuring accurate water quality monitoring across treatment and distribution facilities. This role coordinates field teams, maintains instrumentation reliability, and ensures compliance with environmental and health regulations by maintaining the functionality and precision of online analyzers.
Supervise the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of online analyzers including pH, turbidity, chlorine, ammonia, TOC, and conductivity sensors.
Assign and oversee daily tasks for analyzer technicians and support staff.
Ensure the accuracy of analyzer data used in process control and regulatory reporting.
Maintain calibration logs, inspection checklists, and preventive maintenance records.
Coordinate with SCADA operators and laboratory teams to validate readings and troubleshoot discrepancies.
Lead troubleshooting efforts and perform root cause analysis of analyzer system failures or anomalies.
Support training and onboarding of new technicians on analyzer systems and safety protocols.
Monitor inventory levels of reagents, sensors, and spare parts, and coordinate timely procurement.
Prepare reports and updates for management and regulatory agencies as required.
Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during all field and lab activities.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field
5–8 years of experience in analyzer systems or water quality instrumentation, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
Familiarity with major analyzer brands (e.g., Hach, ABB, E+H, Thermo Fisher) and SCADA interfaces
Strong understanding of water quality parameters and treatment processes
Knowledge of regulatory standards for drinking and wastewater (WHO, EPA, local standards)
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and diagnostics
Solid documentation and compliance tracking skills
