Job Title: Aerospace Systems Technician
Job Summary:
The Aerospace Systems Technician (Fresher) is responsible for supporting the maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of aerospace systems and components. This entry-level position provides an opportunity to work with a wide range of systems used in aircraft and spacecraft, including avionics, propulsion, flight controls, and other aerospace technologies. The technician will work under the supervision of senior technicians and engineers to gain hands-on experience with aerospace systems, ensuring they operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance and Inspections:
- Assist in performing routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of aerospace systems, including avionics, propulsion, and flight control systems.
- Support senior technicians in identifying and addressing mechanical, electrical, and software issues in aerospace systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on various systems, ensuring operational readiness and adherence to safety standards.
Testing and Calibration:
- Assist in the testing and calibration of aerospace systems, ensuring that all systems meet operational specifications and safety standards.
- Work with senior technicians to run diagnostic tests, identify performance issues, and calibrate equipment.
- Support testing for avionics systems, propulsion components, and flight control systems to ensure proper functionality.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Help identify and troubleshoot issues with aerospace systems and components by following established procedures.
- Assist in diagnosing system failures, performing repairs, and ensuring systems return to optimal working condition.
- Work with engineers and senior technicians to resolve complex issues and escalate problems that require advanced expertise.
System Installation and Integration:
- Assist in the installation of aerospace systems and components, including avionics, propulsion systems, and flight control mechanisms.
- Support the integration of new systems and components into existing aircraft or spacecraft platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Ensure proper wiring, connections, and configurations are established during the installation of aerospace systems.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, test results, and repairs performed on aerospace systems.
- Assist in preparing technical reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues identified during testing or troubleshooting.
- Document any changes, repairs, or modifications made to systems to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Learning and Development:
- Continuously learn about aerospace technologies, systems, and industry standards.
- Participate in training programs to gain hands-on experience and develop knowledge in aerospace systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in aerospace technologies and systems to improve technical knowledge and skills.
Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines (e.g., FAA, EASA) in all maintenance and testing activities.
- Ensure that all work is completed according to safety procedures, minimizing risks and ensuring the safe operation of aerospace systems.
- Assist in adhering to quality assurance standards and industry certifications for aerospace systems.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with other teams, such as engineering, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure smooth operations and system integration.
- Communicate effectively with senior technicians and engineers to learn about system performance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Assist other departments when needed to ensure aircraft or spacecraft systems operate at peak performance.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Basic understanding of aerospace systems, including avionics, propulsion systems, and flight controls.
- Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Awareness of testing, calibration, and maintenance procedures for aerospace systems.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or certifications in aerospace systems, avionics, or mechanical systems is beneficial.
- Any technical training related to aircraft systems or aerospace technology is a plus.
Key Focus Areas:
Avionics and Flight Control Systems:
Assisting in the installation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of avionics systems and flight control components.- Supporting functional tests to ensure proper operation of avionics and flight control systems under supervision.
Safety and Emergency Systems:
Assisting in inspections and maintenance of safety-critical systems, including fire suppression, oxygen delivery, and evacuation mechanisms.- Ensuring compliance with basic safety protocols during system checks and repairs.
Precision Instrumentation:

Experience:
- No prior professional experience required; internships, academic projects, or hands-on training in aerospace systems are advantageous.
- Exposure to basic engineering concepts and mechanical/electrical systems through coursework or practical experience is beneficial.
Tools and Technologies:
- Familiarity with basic tools used in aerospace systems maintenance, including hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and calibration devices.
- Exposure to simulation and testing software used in aerospace engineering and systems testing (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW) is a plus.
- Understanding of aircraft systems or avionics software tools is beneficial.
