Job Title: Aerospace Automation Engineer
Job Summary:
The Aerospace Automation Engineer (Fresher) is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of automated systems and processes used in aerospace manufacturing and testing. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with automation technologies, robotics, control systems, and data analysis, with a focus on improving efficiency and precision in aerospace operations. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior engineers to support system integration, optimization, and troubleshooting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation System Design and Development:
- Assist in the design and development of automation systems for aerospace manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes.
- Support the creation of automation solutions that improve the efficiency, precision, and safety of aerospace production lines and testing procedures.
- Help implement robotic systems, conveyor systems, and other automation technologies in aerospace operations.
System Integration and Testing:
- Assist in integrating automation systems with existing aerospace systems and technologies to ensure seamless functionality.
- Help set up and run tests to verify that automation systems meet performance specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Support debugging and troubleshooting of automated systems, ensuring that they operate efficiently and safely during operations.
Control System Programming:
- Assist in programming and configuring control systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA systems) for aerospace automation applications.
- Learn to write and modify control logic to ensure smooth operation of automated machinery and robotics in aerospace production.
- Perform basic testing of control system software and assist in troubleshooting program issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
Maintenance and Optimization:
- Support the maintenance of automation systems by performing regular inspections, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- Help optimize the performance of automation systems by analyzing data, reviewing system logs, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and assist in upgrading or retrofitting automation systems as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all automation system activities, including design changes, system tests, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting results.
- Help prepare reports on automation system performance, system integration, and testing activities, and document any changes or issues encountered.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and regulatory requirements for aerospace systems.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with aerospace engineers, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that automation systems align with operational goals and safety standards.
- Participate in meetings with senior engineers and other teams to review system designs, progress, and challenges.
- Assist in resolving issues that arise during automation system implementation and operation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to find solutions.
Learning and Development:
- Continuously improve knowledge of aerospace automation technologies, control systems, and industry best practices.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance understanding of automation principles, PLC programming, and robotics.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in automation technology and implement best practices for aerospace automation systems.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Basic understanding of automation technologies, robotics, and control systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation tools.
- Basic knowledge of aerospace systems and processes used in aerospace manufacturing and testing.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or certifications related to automation systems, robotics, or PLC programming is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial automation standards and protocols is beneficial.

- Avionics and Flight Control Systems: Assisting in the design, testing, and integration of automation systems within avionics and flight control systems to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Safety and Emergency Systems for Aircraft: Supporting the automation of safety and emergency systems, including testing and ensuring that critical systems function properly in emergency scenarios.
- Precision Instrumentation for Navigation, Communications, and Control: Assisting with the development and calibration of automation systems for precision instrumentation used in navigation, communication, and flight control, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- System Integration and Testing: Learning and assisting in integrating automation solutions with existing aerospace systems and performing basic tests to verify functionality and compliance with industry standards.
Experience:
- No prior professional experience required; internships, academic projects, or practical training in automation, robotics, or aerospace systems are advantageous.
- Exposure to automation software tools (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, LabVIEW) is a plus.
Tools and Technologies:
- Familiarity with automation software (e.g., PLC programming tools, SCADA systems).
- Exposure to robotics systems and industrial automation tools (e.g., ABB, KUKA, FANUC).
- Basic understanding of simulation and testing tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) for automation applications.
- Experience with diagnostic tools for troubleshooting automated systems is beneficial.
