Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of satellite communication systems, including both satellite ground stations and onboard satellite equipment.
• Support senior engineers in the testing and troubleshooting of satellite communication systems, identifying performance issues and connectivity problems.
• Monitor satellite signal health, data throughput, and network performance to ensure service delivery meets established standards.
• Perform basic satellite network analysis to identify issues related to bandwidth, latency, and signal degradation.
• Help in configuring communication protocols, including DVB-S2, TCP/IP, and IP routing over satellite links.
• Maintain detailed logs of satellite network performance, including service outages and corrective actions taken.
• Provide technical support for satellite-based communication systems, ensuring they comply with network security standards.
• Collaborate with external contractors and vendors during system installation and troubleshooting.

Skills and Knowledge Required

• Basic understanding of satellite communication principles, including frequency bands, orbital slots, and ground stations.
